Round 2: inc in each st (12)
Round 3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
Round 4: (sc, inc, sc) x6 (24)
Round 5: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
Round 6: (2 sc, inc, 2 sc) x6 (36)
Rounds 7–8: sc in each st around (36)
Switch to Color #2
Rounds 9–11: sc in each st (36)
Switch back to Color #1
Rounds 12–14: sc in each st (36)
Switch to Color #2
Rounds 15–17: sc in each st (36)
Switch back to Color #1
Rounds 18–19: sc in each st (36)
Round 20: (4 sc, dec) x6 (30)
Round 21: (3 sc, dec) x6 (24)
Insert safety eyes between rows 5-6.
Round 22: (2 sc, dec) x6 (18)
Round 23: (sc, dec) x6 (12)
Round 24: dec x6 (6)
Fasten off, leaving tail to close hole.

With Color #3
Round 1: MC, ch 2, 6 hdc (6)
Round 2: sl st into first st of round 1, ch 2, hdc inc in each st (12)
Round 3: sl st into first st of round 2, ch 2, (hdc, hdc inc) x6 (18)
Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing.
Assembly:
Sew wings to top of the body, between the two stripes.
Embroider a mouth if desired.
